Brief

TraKid is a rental GPS wristband worn by children, which pairs with an app that can track the child's location in real-time, and the user can report the child missing, if need be.

Design 3-4 screens as a tutorial after onboarding to explain to the user the following topics / features of the app

1. What TraKid does
2. How to find your child on the map or navigate to them
3. How to report your child as missing and what this will trigger

TraKid is a GPS wristband rental that pairs with an app to track any children that may be separated from their guardians. This device can also be used to track employees.

Team

Sarah Melville - UI Designer

Role - UI Designer & Fashion Industry Expert

As the UI designer, I created 4 high-fidelity screens that will function as the post onboarding tutorial for the users.

Toolbox

I used a combination of Drive, Illustrator, and Sketch, and InVision.

Problem

Design 3-4 screens as a tutorial after onboarding to explain to the user the following topics / features of the app

1. What TraKid does
2. How to find your child on the map or navigate to them
3. How to report your child as missing and what this will trigger

Project Timeline

I had 1 day to come up with a game plan and design 3-4 screens.

Brainstorming

Essentially, I decided to keep the look and feel of the tutorial more similar to their website than the mid fidelity screens they sent me. This would make it more cohesive, and polished looking. I also decided to use an actual Six Flags map, so users can actually recognize what they are looking at. Most people are unfamiliar with looking at overhead views of buildings to guide them.

Final Deliverable

I created a mini prototype, so the client can test for themself how the tutorial I designed works.
